Enjoy the beat of Taiko (traditional drum)sound and feel the excitement of the drum beating as the sound penetrates your body. At the end of the session you feel very refreshed and get a sense of accomplishment! The taiko training center is in the middle of Kyoto city and you will not miss it!

You need to bring a towel, t-shirt or underwear in case you sweat a lot

I have lived in US for a few years. My pleasure is to try and explain a very sensitive difference of taste and aroma among Japanese sake. Let us enjoy!
 

Procedure

  1. Please book with your preferred date and time (Normally from Monday to Friday )
    The taiko session will be either a private session or a joint session with other regular students.
  2. WAK JAPAN will issue an confirmation with the date/time. We will also send you an Access Map to the studio.

  3. Please make your own way to come to the studio. Don' t forget to bring extra T-shirt and towel if you think you sweat.
    Please note that the studio does not have any shower room.
  4. Then you will first do some exercise to stretch your body. The pre-session exercise is important to avoid any accidents. Then you will be taught how to hold sticks, and begin beating. The session is about 1 hour.
  5. At the end of the session, you are already able to PLAY a certain tune with the instructor. With a lot of sweat, you feel the sense of accomplishment.
  6. After the session, customer(s) make their own way to the hotel or the next destination.
